JOB OVERVIEW:

Customer Service Assistant will be the direct point of contact for the Customer Service Department warranty issues. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the Customer Service Department. You will assist customers with warranty issues, provide consumers with answers to product questions, provide technical support by phone, email, and through our online customer service portal. You will supervise seasonal staff and ensure day to day operations run as normal.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with answering all customer service inquiries
  • Assist customers who have questions regarding the company warranty and products
  • Provide instructions for operation of all products
  • Provide technical support for operation of lighting products
  • Manage all incoming emails for product warranty
  • Provide follow-up to customers as needed
  • Answer calls regarding our new line of lighting items
  • Provide technical support to assist the customer with apps
  • Respond to customer service emails in timely manner
  • Assist with training temporary employees
  • Assist with factory orders coming in weekly 
  • Handle escalations from consumers via chat, email, or phone
  • Update logs daily to ensure proper ordering
  • Assist Customer Service Manager as needed
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years’ experience in Customer Service at a consumer level is desired
  • Some technical experience desired
  • Professional attitude
  • Able to work independently and efficiently
  • High School Diploma (some college preferred)
  • Type a minimum of 40 w.p.m. 
  • Good reading comprehension, writing and verbal communications
  • Detail-oriented, well organized, and punctual
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision and be able to remain patient and calm in high-pressure situations
  • Exercise professional telephone procedures and etiquette for all incoming calls
  • Exhibit a positive and upbeat attitude when always answering the phone
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to multi-task quickly and efficiently
